Election Day 2012: you’ve voted, now what?  Here are two choices on how to spend tonight.  Over at The Bowery Electric, there’s a star studded show which will benefit The American Red Cross and Amnesty International.  Running from 7:30pm through 10pm the following folks will play: Steve Earle, James Maddock, Willie Nile, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Kevin Kinney, The Indecent, Kevin McWha Steele, Lenny Kaye (and possibly more), followed by a Bad Brains Tribute with guests Kyp Malone (TVOTR), John Joseph (Cro-Mags), Jesse Leache (Kill Switch Engage), Jesse Malin (DGeneration), Vernon Reid (Living Color) and the Tribute Band with Mackie (Cro-Mags/ Bad Brains), Todd Youth (Danzig) and Melvin Gibbs (Black Rock Coalition / Rollins Band).

If that show doesn’t suit your mood tonight, you could head over to The 11th Street Bar.  Music starts at 9pm.  Now I’ve Heard Everything favorite Julia Haltigan and her band will be on at 10pm and there will election coverage as well.

Benefit Show for The American Red Cross and Amnesty International, The Bowery Electric, 327 Bowery between 2nd and 3rd Streets (6 Train to Bleecker Street or Astor Place, F Train to 2nd Avenue, use the 2nd Avenue exit), $15, 7:30pm

Julia Haltigan, 11th Street Bar, 510 E. 11th Street between Avenues A & B (Any train to 14th Street, then transfer to the 14 A bus to 11th Street), 10PM, No Cover (but a contribution for the band is highly recommended)
